Jacky Wong

I was born in 1997 and started my career in frontend development in 2016, with 9 years of experience. My journey began with mastering CSS and HTML, which gave me solid skills in converting designs to code and developed a keen understanding of design and aesthetics.

Over several years as a frontend engineer, I specialized in JavaScript and became proficient with frameworks like Vue and Solid. However, my curiosity drove me to explore backend technologies including Node.js, Bun, and serverless functions, which naturally led to my transition into full stack development.

Since transitioning to full stack at Flowith, I've mastered React and TypeScript, gained extensive experience with database management through PostgreSQL, and become proficient in serverless architecture with Cloudflare Workers and Upstash. This full stack expertise enabled me to help the company save hundreds of thousands of dollars in server costs through comprehensive technical optimization.

I also share some of my projects on GitHub, many of which are open source. In my spare time, I enjoy building small tools and exploring interesting directions like Pixi.js and D3.js.
